Puig acquired the Carolina Herrera house, founded in New York in 1980 by a Venezuelan designer who had dressed Jacqueline Onassis. Puig had already been making its fragrances under licence, and buying the house outright is the pattern the Spanish family group has followed repeatedly. Only the year is documented here.
