Brandtree

Privacy

Brandtree runs no advertising. It sets no cookies unless you accept Google Analytics, and you can change your choice at any time. This page explains exactly what happens in each case.

Brandtree runs no advertising and has no accounts. It uses Google Analytics to count visits, under Google Consent Mode: nothing that sets a cookie runs unless you accept it.

Your choice

On your first visit a prompt asks whether Brandtree may use Google Analytics cookies. Accept and Decline carry equal weight. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the name bt-consent, not in a cookie, and it stays until you clear that storage. The "Analytics choices" button in the footer reopens the prompt so you can change it. A browser that sends the Global Privacy Control signal is treated as having declined, and is not asked.

If you decline, or have not chosen

Google Analytics runs in its denied state. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It still sends a cookieless ping to Google with the address of the page you opened, the page you came from, basic browser details and your IP address, which Google uses to infer an approximate location. Google uses these pings to count visits and to model the visits it cannot measure. The ping carries no identifier that follows you from one day to the next.

If you accept

Google Analytics sets its own cookies (names beginning _ga) on this domain, which last up to two years. They let it recognise a returning browser, so that visits, repeat visits and the pages people use can be counted. Brandtree sees only the aggregate reports. Declining later, from the footer, stops further cookies being used; clear your browser's cookies for brandtree.org to remove the ones already set.

What is never used

The three advertising signals of Consent Mode (ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation) are never granted, and advertising data redaction is on. There are no advertising scripts, no social media embeds, no fonts loaded from third parties and no external image hosts. Every asset other than the analytics script is served from this domain. No account is required for anything, so no account data exists.

Other processing

Cloudflare, which serves this site, processes each request and so sees an IP address in order to return a page, and its cookieless web analytics count page views in aggregate. Those logs are not used to build profiles and are not combined with anything else.

Browser storage

The search box loads a static search index and runs the search in your browser. Nothing you type into it is sent to a server or recorded. The only other item stored in your browser is the bt-consent choice described above.

When you report a correction

The correction link opens a pre-filled issue on a public code hosting platform. If you submit one, whatever you write there is public, and that platform's own privacy policy applies to your use of it. You are free to report a correction by email instead.

Source links go to regulators, company registries, securities filings and company websites. Once you follow one, that site's privacy practices apply, not this one's.
