About BUA Sugar
BUA Sugar is refined white sugar from two BUA Foods refineries in Apapa, Lagos and Port Harcourt, with 1.5 million tonnes of combined annual capacity. BUA Sugar Refinery Limited began operations in 2008. Fortified and non-fortified sugar brought in about ₦750 billion in 2025, much of it sold to bottlers, confectioners and bakers, and a cane plantation at Lafiagi in Kwara State is being developed.
