About Zambia Airways
Zambia Airways is the relaunched Zambian national carrier, a joint venture in which Ethiopian Airlines holds 45 per cent and the state-owned Industrial Development Corporation the remaining 55 per cent. The two partners put in 30 million US dollars of capital between them, and Ethiopian announced the launch on 29 November 2021 with Lusaka intended as an aviation hub for southern Africa. Ethiopian provides aircraft, systems and management support.
