It began in 1988 in a garage in Miraflores, La Paz, where Felipe Vera Loza and Mabel Lavadenz launched a first artisanal litre of ice cream with five people and two machines; ice lollies and sticks drove the early growth, and yogurt followed in 1994 to become what is now its second-largest product line. In 2001 it opened an industrial plant in El Alto, the country's biggest dedicated to ice cream, beverages and dairy, and added distribution centres in El Alto and Santa Cruz in 2008. From 2010 it built a franchised agency network — more than 162 agencies — and turned its salespeople into micro-entrepreneurs in 2014 and 2015. It reported a 74.4 per cent share of the Bolivian ice cream market at the close of December 2024.
