Dos Pinos is a dairy co-operative founded in 1947 by twenty-five Costa Rican milk producers and owned today by around 1,300 producer members, under a commitment to collect every litre their farms produce, 365 days a year. Its head office and main industrial complex are at Coyol de Alajuela. It runs seven production plants, nine branches, eighteen agro-veterinary stores, seventeen La Estación ice cream parlours and six self-service shops in Costa Rica, and operates plants or distribution businesses in Panama, Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and the Dominican Republic. Kantar ranked Dos Pinos the preferred brand in Costa Rica in its 2024 Brand Footprint Latam study.
