Golrang Industrial Group is an Iranian conglomerate run from Golrang Tower on Vali-e Asr Avenue in Tehran, and it is the largest maker of detergents and household hygiene products in the country. It grew out of work Mohammad Karim Fazli began in 1972, when he set up the Pakshoo Chemical-Manufacturing Company to make detergents, cosmetics and hygiene products under the Golrang name registered a year earlier; the group itself was formally established in 2003. It now says it has more than 120 subsidiaries, a hundred active brands and 45,000 employees, makes more than a billion product units a year and exports to 95 countries, with businesses in food, pharmaceuticals, cellulose, packaging, distribution, construction, retail and finance as well as the detergents it started with.
