Jesa Farm Dairy is a family-owned Ugandan dairy processor founded in 1989 by James and Sarah Mulwana, who built the business from a cattle farm at Mikka Village on the Kampala–Hoima road into a full dairy processor. It now runs its factory and headquarters on Old Port Bell Road in Kampala's industrial area, under the wider Mulwana Group, which also has interests in plastics, batteries and real estate. Jesa describes JESA Fresh Milk as Uganda's number one fresh milk brand, and its range has grown from raw milk collection into pasteurised and UHT milk, yoghurt, butter, cream, a fruit-milk drink and, most recently, an ambient yoghurt that keeps without refrigeration. The company is now run by the founder's son, Geoffrey Mulwana, as chief executive.
