It began in 1993 as Kinh Do Construction and Food Processing, a snack maker with 70 workers, and became the leading brand in Vietnamese confectionery before transferring that business to a foreign partner in 2015 and renaming itself. It now concentrates on cooking oil, margarine, seasonings, bakery and steamed buns, and says it ranks second in Vietnam's cooking oil industry. It holds 29.4 per cent of KIDO Foods, whose Merino and Celano brands lead the Vietnamese ice cream market, as an associate.
