The family business behind it began in 1973 selling snacks under the Piyajit name, launched Mogu Mogu in 2001 and Sappe Beauti Drink in 2006, took the Sappe name in 2013 and listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in 2014. Its sales were 5,252.6 million baht in 2025, about 70 per cent of them outside Thailand, and the Ruckariyapong family holds 74.78 per cent of its shares including those held through custodian banks. It also owns 25 per cent of Danone Sappe Beverages, which makes B'lue.
