Its own history says Shindo Sumidomo began a household snack business in Surabaya in 1972, which became PT Siantar Top Industri in 1987 and went public in 1996. PT Shindo Tiara Tunggal held 56.763% of the shares in the 2025 annual report. The report splits sales into crackers (36.05% of 2025 sales), noodle snacks (33.73%) and biscuits and wafers (23.63%). The company site also lists instant-noodle, coffee-creamer, instant-coffee and vermicelli products, which are left out because the annual report does not describe them.
