Its own overview says it started in 1999 as PT Cipta Aneka Selaras, later took the Surya Citra Media name and took over 99.99% of SCTV, and merged with PT Indosiar Karya Mandiri Tbk. It runs two national free-to-air channels, SCTV and Indosiar, plus the Mentari TV children and family channel, and owns the streaming platform Vidio, news portals, film and drama production houses and a satellite pay-TV service. Its 2025 annual report lists Vidio as a direct subsidiary of 79.43% and the KapanLagi portal operator as a 50.00% direct holding. Nex Parabola (51%), AJWA TV and the artist-management and advertising units are left out of the brand list.
