Campari Group acquires Grand Marnier (2016)
Campari Group completed the acquisition of Grand Marnier on 30 June 2016 for €684 million.[1]
Campari acquired Grand Marnier for about EUR 684 million after a long courtship of the founding family's shareholders. Using cognac rather than neutral spirit as the base is what separates Grand Marnier from triple sec, and it made Campari a serious owner in liqueurs.
