Danone acquires Alpro and 2 other brands (2017)

Danone completed the acquisition of Alpro and 2 other brands on 12 April 2017 for $12.5 billion.[1]

Danone acquired WhiteWave Foods for about $12.5 billion, buying Alpro in Europe and Silk in America. It made Danone the clear leader in plant-based drinks, and the Department of Justice required the divestiture of its own American organic milk business to clear it.
