Alphabet acquires Waze (2013)

Alphabet completed the acquisition of Waze on 11 June 2013 for $1.1 billion.[1]

Google acquired the Israeli navigation app Waze for about $1.1 billion, keeping it as a separate product rather than folding it into Google Maps. Both apps still run side by side more than a decade later.
