PayPal acquires Honey (2020)
PayPal completed the acquisition of Honey on 6 January 2020 for $4 billion.[1][2]
PayPal acquired Honey Science Corporation for total consideration of about $4.0 billion, roughly $3.6 billion in cash plus $400 million in assumed restricted stock, restricted stock units and options. It was PayPal's only acquisition completed in 2020 and its largest to that point, bought to push the company beyond the checkout button and into the part of shopping that happens before it.
