PIF, Silver Lake and Affinity Partners acquire EA (2026)
PIF, Silver Lake and Affinity Partners completed the acquisition of EA on 4 August 2026 for $55 billion.[1]
A consortium of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, funds managed by Silver Lake and funds managed by Affinity Partners took Electronic Arts private for $210 a share in cash, through a new parent called Oak-Eagle AcquireCo, Inc. The agreement put the enterprise value at about $55 billion, the largest leveraged take-private of a video game company, and the Public Investment Fund rolled over the roughly 9.9 per cent it already held. The deal closed on 4 August 2026 and EA left Nasdaq. No filing sets out how the equity is divided among the three investors.
No filing states how the consortium divides its ownership of Electronic Arts, so no company edge with a stake is recorded; EA remains the owner of its game brands.
