Richemont acquires Net-a-Porter (2010)
Richemont completed the acquisition of Net-a-Porter on 1 April 2010.[1]
Richemont took control of Net-a-Porter, founded by a fashion journalist who believed people would buy luxury clothing online when almost every brand doubted it. Richemont later wrote down its value substantially and agreed to sell a majority to a rival. The price was not disclosed.
