Richemont acquires Panerai (1997)
Richemont completed the acquisition of Panerai in 1997.[1]
Richemont acquired Panerai, which had supplied luminous diving instruments to the Italian navy and sold no watches to the public until 1993. Its oversized cushion cases became one of the defining watch shapes of the following decade. Only the year is documented here.
