Tata Motors acquires Jaguar and 2 other brands (2008)
Tata Motors completed the acquisition of Jaguar and 2 other brands on 2 June 2008 for $2.3 billion, buying from Ford.[1]
Tata Motors acquired Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford for about $2.3 billion in cash. Ford had paid roughly $2.5 billion for Jaguar in 1989 and $2.7 billion for Land Rover in 2000, so it sold both together for less than it had paid for either.
