It moved into personal care in the 1960s and 1970s, food in 1972, and snacks in 1973 with its first plantain chips, and later built an oil-palm growing and extraction business that now feeds its cooking-oil brand. It is family-owned and today sells across Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic.
