Uzum is a privately held company headquartered in Uzbekistan that owns 6 consumer brands.^[1]

Uzum is Uzbekistan's largest digital ecosystem and, by its own account, the first IT company in the country to be valued at $2.3 billion. It combines e-commerce, express delivery, traditional and digital banking, instalment lending, a car marketplace and a platform for small businesses into one account, and says more than twenty million people — over half the population of Uzbekistan — use its services every month. It employs more than fourteen thousand people, builds its own logistics network across the country rather than renting one, and runs proprietary localised payment infrastructure rather than licensing a core banking system, which is the unusual part of its model for a market of this size. Its stated purpose is infrastructural rather than commercial: making advanced technology and quality service reach all thirty-eight million residents of Uzbekistan, including remote areas and small towns.
