Alphabet acquires Fitbit (2021)

Alphabet completed the acquisition of Fitbit on 14 January 2021 for $2.1 billion.[1]

Google acquired Fitbit for about $2.1 billion after a review lasting more than a year. The European Commission cleared it only against binding commitments not to use Fitbit health data for advertising and to keep rival wearables working with Android.
