Amer Sports acquires Salomon and 2 other brands (2005)
Amer Sports completed the acquisition of Salomon and 2 other brands on 1 October 2005 for €485 million.[1]
Amer Sports acquired the Salomon group from adidas for about EUR 485 million, taking Salomon, Arc'teryx and Atomic in one transaction. adidas had bought Salomon in 1997 and concluded that winter sports equipment did not fit alongside football boots.
