LVMH acquires Loro Piana (2013)
LVMH completed the acquisition of Loro Piana on 5 December 2013 for €2 billion.[1]
LVMH acquired eighty per cent of Loro Piana for about €2 billion, with the founding family retaining the rest. The attraction was control of the supply of the finest cashmere and vicuña wool, which no amount of marketing can substitute for.
