PepsiCo acquires Sabra (2024)
PepsiCo completed the acquisition of Sabra on 3 December 2024 for $241 million, buying from Strauss Group.[1]
PepsiCo bought the Strauss Group out of Sabra for $241 million in cash, ending the joint venture through which the two had run the largest hummus brand in the United States, and making it a wholly owned subsidiary. Consolidating it produced a $122 million pre-tax gain, the accounting effect of remeasuring the half PepsiCo already held at fair value.
