PepsiCo acquires Stacy's (2005)
PepsiCo completed the acquisition of Stacy's on 1 November 2005.[1]
Frito-Lay acquired Stacy's Pita Chips, started by a couple who had turned leftover pita from their sandwich cart into a snack. Baking rather than frying gave it a health positioning the rest of the snack aisle could not match. The price was not disclosed.
