VF Corporation completed the acquisition of Timberland on 13 September 2011 for $2.3 billion.[1]
VF Corporation acquired Timberland for about $2.3 billion, adding its yellow boot to an outdoor portfolio that already held The North Face and Vans. Timberland had published an environmental and labour footprint on its boxes since 2006, unusually for footwear at the time.
