The statements name the Argentine national State as majority shareholder, and say the company remains a sociedad anónima governed mainly by private law. They also say Austral Líneas Aéreas was absorbed by merger and its operation ended in 2020; Austral is therefore not recorded as a separate airline. In October 2024 the government declared the company subject to privatisation.
