Air Astana is the full-service brand of the group and, in its own words, Kazakhstan's leading airline. It flew its first commercial service between Almaty and Astana in May 2002 and has carried 92 million passengers since. In 2025 it carried 5.2 million of them on 78 routes to 42 destinations across Central Asia, the Caucasus, Europe including Türkiye, the Middle East and Asia including India and China. Skytrax has named it the best airline in Central Asia and the CIS every year from 2011 to 2025.
