Bordallo Pinheiro is a Portuguese earthenware brand from the Fábrica de Faianças das Caldas da Rainha, founded in 1884 by the artist Raphael Bordallo Pinheiro, whose pieces the group describes as full of creativity and humour and marked by social conscience. Grupo Visabeira bought the company in 2009, and Vista Alegre Atlantis now holds 86.14% of Faianças Artísticas Bordalo Pinheiro. The factory still uses much of the original technique to reproduce historic models, and France, Italy, Spain, the UK, the Netherlands, Sweden, the US and Japan are its main foreign markets.
