About Carrier
Carrier is the air-conditioning and heating brand named after Willis Carrier, who submitted his design for the first modern air-conditioning system in 1902. He, his future partner J. Irvine Lyle and five fellow engineers launched Carrier Engineering Corporation as an independent company in 1915. The brand is now on residential and commercial air conditioners, heat pumps, heating systems and controls, and Carrier Transicold sells refrigeration units for trucks, trailers and shipping containers under the same name.
