Daxocox is a flavoured tablet of enflicoxib, a COX-2-selective anti-inflammatory, given once a week to treat pain and inflammation from osteoarthritis in dogs. Animalcare developed it through its own research, won marketing authorisation for the EU and the UK in April 2021 and began launching it in mid-2021. Sales grew 23% in 2025, when the EU approved a further indication for pain around surgery and Japan approved the drug; Animalcare has said it is exploring a US launch.
