About Diamond Star
Diamond Star is Capital Diamond Star Group's wheat flour brand, tracing back to the group's first flour mill, opened in Mandalay in 1980 producing just one ton a day. It has grown into part of Myanmar's largest wheat-milling operation, run today through Lluvia Limited, CDSG's 2015 joint venture with Mitsubishi Corporation, in which CDSG's own press release says it accepted an investment from Mitsubishi of up to 30%, leaving CDSG with the majority stake at an unstated exact figure. Diamond Star and its companion brand Rocket together supply more than half of Myanmar's wheat flour market.
