About Freedom Bank
Freedom Bank is the Kazakh retail and commercial bank Freedom Holding bought in December 2020 as Kassa Nova Bank, then a consumer lender with ten branches, and renamed in May 2024. It holds a universal banking licence and sells deposits, multi-currency cards and consumer and small-business loans mainly through its app. Until September 2025 it bought much of its consumer lending from FFIN Credit, a lender controlled by the group's chief executive outside the group.
