About Kārums
Kārums is a glazed curd snack bar that traces back to the late 1940s in Riga, when the treat was first hand-made; production mechanised through the 1950s to 1970s. It took the Kārums name and its cheerful crow mascot in 1993-1994 through the company Rīgas Piensaimnieks, which merged into Rīgas Piena Kombināts in 2020. The range has since grown to include curd desserts and yoghurt shakes, and the company calls it Latvia's most beloved dairy brand.
