MoistureShield makes wood-composite decking and railing, manufactured from 95% recycled content and engineered to be installed on the ground, in the ground or underwater without the structural failures that affect ordinary wood decking. This is the actual acquisition behind the brand: two years later, in May 2019, Oldcastle APG renamed the acquired composite-decking business from AERT to MoistureShield, which was a rebranding rather than a separate transaction and is not recorded as its own deal. Oldcastle APG is a CRH operating business rather than a separate legal entity in this dataset, so the buyer is recorded as CRH.
