Azersun is a privately held company headquartered in Baku, Azerbaijan that owns 12 consumer brands across 4 categories.^[1]

Azersun Holding is the largest food producer and exporter in Azerbaijan, built from the wreckage of the Soviet food industry by Abdolbari Gozal, an investor who arrived in 1991-92 to open a representative office of the Intersun group at a point when, on the company's own account, Azerbaijan had practically no functioning food enterprises. In 1994 he used foreign direct investment to privatise the defunct tea and oil factories in Baku and re-equip them, and the group grew outward from there: four regional canneries in Khachmaz, Bilasuvar, Lankaran and Gazakh, the 110-hectare Imishli Sugar Factory in 2006, the Masazyr Salt Plant in 2010 built under a UNICEF and health ministry iodisation programme that turned Azerbaijan from a salt importer into an exporter, the Park Bulvar shopping centre the same year, the Bazarstore supermarket chain in 2011, the Kurdamir Milk Processing Plant in 2013 and the Azersun Industrial Park near Sumgayit in 2014. It now runs more than thirty enterprises across food, agriculture, paper and packaging, makes its own cardboard and metal packaging, and describes its philosophy as "from field to table". The chairman of its supervisory board is Tahir Gozel.
