Church & Dwight completed the acquisition of Trojan and First Response on 28 September 2001 for $739 million.[1]
Church & Dwight acquired the consumer products business of Carter-Wallace for about $739 million in a joint transaction, taking Trojan condoms and First Response pregnancy tests. It transformed a company known mainly for baking soda into a broad household and personal care group.
