Helen of Troy acquires PUR (2012)
Helen of Troy completed the acquisition of PUR on 31 December 2012.[1]
Helen of Troy acquired the PUR water filtration business from Procter & Gamble. PUR is the main American rival to Brita, and faucet-mounted filters are a largely American format that has never taken hold in markets where tap water is filtered through jugs or not at all. The price was not disclosed.
