About Alpina
Alpina is the dairy brand started in 1945 by Swiss cheesemakers Max Bazinger and Walter Goggel, who bought land in Sopó, near Bogotá, with a bank loan and named their factory after their Alpine home. The name now covers milks, cheeses, arequipe, cream and Avena Alpina, which the company calls Colombia's first ready-to-drink oat drink. Avena and Alpina dulce de leche are also sold in the United States.
