About ConnectMiles
ConnectMiles is Copa's own frequent-flyer programme, launched in July 2015 when the airline stopped co-branding United's MileagePlus in Latin America in order to hold the customer relationship itself. Miles can be earned and spent across the 25 Star Alliance carriers and their 1,150 destinations, so leaving United's programme did not cost members the network, and banks buy miles too: Banco General paid Copa $33.3 million for them in 2025. Unredeemed miles are a real liability — $155.6 million of frequent-flyer deferred revenue sat on the balance sheet at the end of 2025.
