Copa Airlines Colombia is the trading name of AeroRepública, the Colombian carrier Copa bought into on 22 April 2005 when it took 85.6 per cent of a company that was then one of Colombia's largest domestic airlines; further purchases lifted the holding to 99.9 per cent before the end of that year. It feeds Colombian passengers into the Panama hub and also operates the Wingo low-cost brand within Colombia and the region. Copa registers "Copa Colombia" and "Copa Airlines Colombia" as trademarks in seven countries.
