About Wingo
Wingo is the low-cost brand Copa launched in December 2016 to compete with the budget carriers moving into its markets. It is not an airline in its own right: it holds no operating certificate and is run by AeroRepública, the group's Colombian carrier, with its own commercial, distribution and customer-service structure. At the end of 2025 it flew ten Boeing 737-800s in a single class of 186 seats, the fleet having moved up from 737-700s because the larger aircraft carry more people for less.
