About Delegat
Delegat is the wine brand that carries the name of the family behind Delegat Group, established in 1947 and run across two generations. The company credits it with pioneering the fermentation of Chardonnay in barrel in the 1980s and with introducing the Clone 6 Chardonnay vine selection. Its wines come from two sites: the Awatere Valley in Marlborough, which supplies its only Pinot Noir, and the Crownthorpe Terraces in Hawke's Bay, which supplies its only Chardonnay.
