About Dimestil
Dimestil is a dimethindene maleate antihistamine sold in two forms. The drops, at 1 mg per millilitre, treat nettle rash, hay fever and vasomotor rhinitis, drug and food allergies, and itching from rashes such as chickenpox. The gel, at 1 mg per gram, is used on sunburn, insect bites and mild burns, and after contact with toxic plants or jellyfish; the company recommends it from six months of age because small children cannot be expected to stop scratching.
