About Fevicol
Fevicol is the white synthetic resin adhesive that Pidilite says it began with in 1959, when the company started with a single factory making this one product, first for woodworkers and carpenters. Pidilite's own brand page dates the first modern plant to 1963 in Mumbai and the 30-gram collapsible tube that made it a consumer brand to 1970, with a marine waterproof variant in 2003. It is sold as an all-purpose bonding adhesive for crafts and household repairs. The annual report also names a division devoted to Fevicol.

About the owner: Pidilite
Pidilite is a publicly listed company headquartered in Mumbai, India, founded in 1959. Brandtree records 5 brands under its control, and it is listed as BSE: 500331 and NSE: PIDILITIND.
Pidilite is an Indian adhesives and specialty chemicals company listed on the BSE and the National Stock Exchange of India. Its own site says it began in 1959 with a single factory making one product, Fevicol. Its annual report splits the business into Branded Consumer and Bazaar products (adhesives, sealants, art and craft materials, construction and paint chemicals) and Business-to-Business products (industrial adhesives and resins, project construction chemicals, pigments). Fevicol Company Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary. Araldite, which Pidilite's site presents among its consumer brands, is not recorded here because the brand has a global owner outside Pidilite and the sources read do not say what Pidilite holds.
