About Loctite
Loctite makes anaerobic adhesives that cure in the absence of air, invented at Trinity College in Connecticut in 1953 to stop bolts loosening under vibration, and later instant cyanoacrylate glues. Henkel acquired the company in 1997 and it anchors an adhesives division larger than its consumer business.
