About Izumiya
Izumiya is a Kansai supermarket chain which its owner says has pursued 'affordable valuables' since its founding. Izumiya Co., Ltd. became a subsidiary of H2O Retailing through a share exchange in June 2014, and its larger sites now run as Izumiya Shopping Centers under H2O Shopping Center Development. The supermarket company merged with Hankyu Oasis in April 2023, and on 1 April 2026 it absorbed Kansai Super Market and was renamed Kansai Food Market Ltd. The Izumiya Matsubara and Hirakata shopping centres closed in the year to March 2026.
