About White
White is a soju made by Muhak, launched in 1995 at 23 per cent alcohol. The company says it was the first Korean soju sold under a product name rather than the company name, and that it broke the 25 per cent barrier then standard. It was reformulated in 2007 with Jirisan rock water and became the current 19 per cent version in 2014; Muhak also lists it among its export products.
